Sandhills Alliance Church is seeking a lead pastor who is motivated to grow a church in a rapidly growing community, plus disciple and shepherd the congregation to be outward focused.
The Village of Pinehurst, which is in Moore County, NC, is famous for its golf course resort. It is also located approximately 2 1/2 hours from the mountains of NC and the NC shore. Approximately 40% of the community are retirees but it and the surrounding towns have a large presence of military families. There are younger families moving into the community near the church building.
Essential characteristics, skills and strengths required:
Minimum education level: Bachelor's degree minimum, Masters preferred.
Minimum credential level: Must be eligible for C&MA license and willing to begin the Alliance ordination process.
Minimum years of experience: The ideal candidate has five to ten years of experience in pastoral ministry.
Church size: Sunday attendance averages around 50-60 congregants.
Church setting: Suburban.
Church history: Sandhills Alliance Church is approximately 42 years old, planted in 1984. The congregation is friendly and welcoming. The current pastor is ready for retirement, and he has guided the search committee to begin their process to seek out their next pastor.
